Yes, usually in a restaurant, whoever serves you should get a tip, not entitled to get one, but it depends on you & how your experience was, if you enjoyed the food? was the customer service good? was the service slow? like i said, it all depends on how you felt the over all experience was. Don't base it on the owner waiting on you. It's good that owners even try to help out other waiters or waitresses. It shows they are hard workers.

Oh! That's a good question. I believe that you don't (it's sort-of like tipping a host if you go to dinner at their house).

If you were invited to the restaurant as a guest, I'd say definitely no, but if the owner just happened to wait on you, perhaps you could tip the bus person directly (or someone else who assisted in serving you).

I would. They may not keep it, pass it along to the other support staff. But if the experience was worthwhile and you would have tipped a regular waiter, then it is still appropriate to tip the owner.

Not if I know she is the owner... owners of businesses never get tips (they get all the profits!).

As a server and an ownerof an establishment, if someone waits on you regardless of who they are, tip them.

You can but some of them have a rule that they arent aloud to accept tips.
