my boyfriend and i been talking about having kids when we get married.. right now i'm 16 and he's 20... we will get married in either 2008 or 2009.. if we have a boy, we would name him Kobe Bryant, if we have a girl, we would name her Kristen Angel.. what do you think? The last name is Garcia.

You are to young for children and marriage.
Kobe bryant is a basketball player who was accused of having sex with an underage girl...is that how you want your kid to be thought of...
He is way to old for you and you need to get it together.

Are you nuts? Of course you are. You are pregnant, full or hormones and you are still a baby yourself.
You should actually be thinking of adoption instead of getting married. It would be much better for your baby.
Besides, the marriage won't last because you are too young. You will be stuck with a baby, on your own with no education. You boyfriend should be brought up on statutory rape charges!
Names -- the boy's name is a sleazy basketball player that raped a girl. While I love Kristen (with an e, not an i) Angel is a bit much. At least it's the middle name.

You will change your mind later on when you are actually going to have a baby. I never used any of the names I had thought of when I was younger. Kobe Bryant is not a good name. People will automatically think of the basketball player accused of raping a girl becuase it was all over the news forever.

After what Kobe Bryant was accused of you want to name your child after him? At least give your kid a name that is his name, not someone elses. Kristen Angel is ok if you like that sort of name.

Why don't you want to take time to live and be free of responsibility for a while before you choose marriage and kids, which you can do anytime. Once you have them though, they are forever. Take some time to be single and child-free and get an education to ensure YOUR OWN future before you jump into the invisible shackles that come with marriage and motherhood. And the ARE shackles. Do you really want to resent your husband and kids in 10 years because you never took the time to be young and free and responsible only for yourself? At 16 the idea of marriage and kids probably looks appealing. You can get out of your parents house and be in charge of your own life and your own home, but once you start being repsponsible for others you can quickly lose any sense of freedom. If your boyfriend truly loves you then he should be able to respect your need for this.
BTW, I think that your baby name choices based on celebrity names highlights your level of immaturity at the age of 16. At 16 though, this is an expected and acceptable level of immaturity. You SHOULD be admiring celebrities at this age, not preparing for marriage and kids yet though.

Yeahhh... I hope you're not having sex w/him now, since that is ILLEGAL. Also, you are too young to marry and have children. Will you both be totally finished with your educations in one or two years? Will you both be totally able to support your children ON YOUR OWN in one or two years? And your choice of Kobe Bryant as a name is immature and foolish. You may also want to rethink your committment to a man who would date a person as young as yourself... they aren't always the best mates. I like the girl name though.

The names are good,
I have to say, I was 16, bf 20
we are now 19 and 23, just got married,and that was only rushed because he joined the airforce at 22 and we are soon going to be moving to Japan, I have 2 ys college,with two Associates degrees going to continue in Japan, he has Bach.; from personal exp. get high school done and at the very least an Associates degree
It cost alot to have kids so just have patience and get all you need to get done, done so you can enjoy your kids when you have them and be able to support them.

Wow ... Yeah wait till your out of high school before you start planning your life with a old man. What do your parents think about you dating a older man??? I have a daughter and let me say that this will not fly in my house.
If you are that set on those names ... write them down and save them until you grow up.

kobe bryant doesn't sound too nice. i think you should change the name kobe for something friendlier but the girl's name is amazing. it seems like the name of a little blond girl with a fringe and long curly pigtails.
