Can rectal bleeding be a sign of internal bleeding?

Question

Symptoms include lower abdominal pain, sometimes severe and radiating through groin and legs. Not a lot but light pinkish rectal bleeding. Also vaginal spotting....Serious answers, please.

BoomBoom is very right. To be quite honest i would be contact a doc ASAP. Or perhaps even go to the emergency room. The reason i say emergency room is because a very similar thing happened to my friend's dad. And long story short he has internal bleeding that can't be found. it's so small that they can't find it. he got really sick and next thing you know he had a blood transfusion and received more than 12 units of blood in less then a months time. Please seek medical attention quickly.

Yes to your answer. You need to see a Gastroenterologist and a Gynecologist. GI doctor will recommend a Sigmoidoscopy and or Colonoscopy and a GYN doctor may recommend an Ultrasound and or Sonogram.
