Not all dreams or nightmares are symbols of our unconscious. My Mother and my daughter both get prophetic dreams. How or why it happens? Other than they are both very sensitive people I am not sure.
I remember one trip we took and my daughter was six or seven and we had removed all the umbrellas out of the car to make room for all the luggage and she kept saying it was going to rain. My husband and I kept telling her it wouldn't but she didn't believe us. Without us knowing she hid two umbrellas in the trunk. Sure enough three hours later it was raining. My husband and I argue about how it wasn't supposed to rain and who's bright idea it was to take the umbrellas out. Than my daughter shouts "we have two umbrellas." My husband and I tell her that we took em out and she gets out of the parked car. Opens the trunk of our old station wagon and pulls out two umbrellas. I don't know how she knew but she told us later she had a dream that we were all dripping wet at the hotel the night before.
What you should do is write these dreams down and date them. It's good proof that it's really happening and it's not just in your mind. Hope this helps!

Since people began, dreams have been thought of as pretty good ways to tell you what you really want and what you really don't want, deep down. I write in a journal each morning and start with noting whatever song is playing in my head. That is a pretty good hint as to my feeling and desires. Then i trying to capture the essence of my dream(s), or nightmares. I have discovered that the most useful question to ask is not, "What does it mean?" rather "How did it make me -feel-, while it was going on and when I woke up.
If I go back and look at my journal the dreams often point toward things that happen later. they can help you cope and know yourself, even the scary ones.

Your nightmares come true because you are dreaming about the worst possible scenarios that your mind has thought of. Lets say you are worried that your boyfriend is cheating. You are worried because somthing has given you cause to believe this. You have it in your mind and then you dream about it. Its a nightmare because its sad and horrible and makes you angry. Some nightmares are simply our psyches telling us the truth that we deny.

You experience Deja Vu. What you seen in your dream may just come true. This is the third feeling of human.

before you try to explain, please record every dream you have. Score them according to predictiveness. You might be disappointed to find that your accuracy is lacking.
I refer to the effect of selective memory. Need to rule that out so you are not remembering mostly those dreams that come true and conveniently forgetting the majority of nonsense dreams.
Does daydream count?

a bad dream isn't bad until you give it this connotation
a dream become whatever you want it to be
let say you dream about jumping through the window
or ur going to commit suicide
or you starting afresh on a new (window) opportunity
everything depend on your point of view, and than it become real according to your vibe

your subconscious could be leading you to act out your dreams. such as, you dream you fall off a cliff and then you, without knowing it, walk down the street, completely preoccupied and oblivious to a sign that says "road closed" and you walk of into a ditch.
you could be getting visions, but unlikely
