I have interviewed for three jobs, and all three want me to pay money in order to start working. Usually I fill out an application, have an interview, and get a yea or nay about the job position. Will I get my money back and then some.

The first job was selling insurance to union employees and the company wanted $215 to start. The next was a talent agency and they wanted $285 for a photo shoot. Now, another insurance firm wants me to pay $300 ($100 is refundable) for classes and to get my license. Those are the extra details.

This is an unusual scenario.

I would recommend that you be circumspect about investing in a job - as compared to a business.

Your best bet would be to find some individuals (more than one) that is already doing what you are considering and ask them for their advice.

If you provide some specifics here, we might be able to be more helpful.
