Andrew Jackson was an ex-President of the United States. He is that guy on the $20 dollar bill.

Sheesh, some people need to lighten up. Please don't let the more mocking answers (ha ha, pun not intended) discourage you from asking here in the future.

Andrew Jackson was a president, he was known as a "tough" guy which is part of the reason he was elected.

If you do find yourself confused about historical elements, I'd like to recommend the book "Don't Know Much About History" by Kenneth C. Davis. It's in easy to understand, friendly format.

Hope that helps.

Do they not teach history in your school? Andrew Jackson was the 7th president of the United States. Is that specific enough for you?

Is your google button broken??

The "mocking bird" is the denial of truth just to suit those who deny what is clear--in this case, racism; and secondarily, the socially retarded. Scout's neighbor was an unknown, scary man no one ever saw, except that Scout was not afraid of him, and exchanged trinkets with him by putting them in a hole in a tree. Later, the man saves her life and that of her brother--from one of the men who denies the truth.

I said if he wanted to take a broad view of the thing, it really began with Andrew Jackson. If General Jackson hadn't run the Creeks up the creek, Simon Finch would never have paddled up the Alabama, and where would we be if he hadn't? We were far too old to settle an argument with a fist-fight, so we consulted Atticus. Our father said we were both right.

Note: and if you really want to wow them with trivia....dig this reTruman Capote
quote from link
In his childhood Capote made friends with Harper Lee, who portrayed him as Dill in her world famous novel To Kill a Mockingbird. "Dill was a curiosity. He wore blue linen shorts that buttoned to his shirt, his hair was snow white and stuck to his head like duckfluff; he was a year my senior but I towered over him. As he told us the old tale his blue eyes would lighten and darken; his laugh was sudden and happy; he habitually pulled at a cowlick in the center of his forehead."

He is the president of the US in the book. Just like he was in real life. Google or check your history book for more info on him.
