Knockout roses are a specific variety of roses. They come in a couple of colors, pink, red and I think the new ones this year are rainbow. They cost b/t 10-17. My Home Depot had them on sale. They are kind of plain looking, but are relatively pest free and easy to care for. The new variety will only be found at independent nursery's this year. I don't know how well they'd do in your zone.

For what you are asking can only be answered as a subjective opinion because "Knockout" to one is not to another. That is like saying, "What is a knockout vehicle?"

Roses ring people's bells in different impacts on the senses. Roses offer so much. They have fantastic colors. There is blossom size. And the aroma ------ oh gosh the aroma; the fragrance! From almost nothing to WOW! Then there is petal count, bush size, tolerance of the plant to the elements, disease, and insects. So what about roses hits you?

'Knockout' is a particular red rose with many, many flowers blooming at the same time. It is quite a knockout when in bloom and it blooms for several months.
