Every kid is different. My son is 11 months old and is just starting to assert himself while playing.
Your daughter is probably normal, but if you are worried, mention your concerns to your doctor.

Yes it is normal. Lots of babys are discovering themselves and woudl much rather play with hands and feet rather than toys.
They are just developing the senses to work things out and toys may be to complicated.
I run a daycare and i know that all children develop at different ages and i have seen may one two and even three year olds not play with toys.
As a matter of fact i have a three year old who still won't play with toys he would rather just do nothing.
Kids just develop differently. Don't worry your child is far from abnormal.

My daughter is also almost 10 months old, and she went through a stage for a couple of weeks where she only played with her hands. I wouldn't worry too much!
She might be more of a thinker, but if you are concerned, ask her pediatrician.

When I was a baby my mom took me for a flu shot once and I got sick as a dog so I never got one again and I am fine and I am an adult now with a child of my own she is almost 2 and she hasn't had a flu shot once and she has never had the flu. The truth is that people that do constantly get the flu shot are more prone through out there life to getting the flu than people like me who don't get the shot.

No problem. They love to discover themselves at around these ages. My daughter is doing the same thing. When they get the full concept of playing with toys, they will play with them

Well, we need a little more info. Does she laugh and try to talk, crawl around, take an interest in books, or watching a video like Barney or Dora, show an interest in food and drink. My grandson didn't get into playing with his toys by himself until he was 4--he was busy doing other things. He played with his toys if others played with him, but he wouldn't go busy himself with his toys alone.

At 10 months it's hard to say. My son is autistic and that was one of the things he did, but he didn't start until he was about 18 to 20 months old.
Ask your pediatrician.

That is very normal for a child her age. Very young children love to explore their own bodies. They love to play with their hands; just watching their own bodies move is extremely interesting for them.

Of course she is. Even my cousin preferred playing with us rather than toys.
By the way your daughter must be a cutie !
