Seems like if it's a serious drama, the acting stinks, and it tanks at the box...
The Dparted excluded, of course.

Where's The Maltese Falcon, Harvy, Cat on A Hot Tin roof...Why have most of theml been so talentless these past 25 years? It was like watching the Gong Show set to film...but at least with a few good 'scripts'.

It appears any movie of real depth is passed over.

I'm not taking anything away from "Dreamgirls" or "Borat", but how many people will really see "05/06"?

Those things are cheaper to come by than good actors; could that maybe be a reason?
