Parodies are ideas that can be put in any form of media in which a story is involved with mocking or making a funny version of a previous original story. For example. All of the crappy "blank" movies such as Scary Movie, Date Movie, or Epic Movie. Makes funny version twists of previous movies while the movie itself makes a plot at the same time. But parodies are mostly seen in variety shows mostly MadTV or SNL. If you want to see a good parody movie. I suggest Airplane.

parody is actually the expression of two emotions. i.e. the emotions of love and the emotions of hatred. you will do parody of the person which you like most or dislike most just to express your emotions.
