i'm in 9th standard. i'm currently studying in a Matriculation board school in Tamil Nadu. my school follows the Matriculation syllabus, not CBSE. i'm planning to go to a CBSE school for my 10th class. but i'll probably have to study in a hostel in that case bcoz my dad isn't moving out from here for another one year. but in 2008 i'll go to a CBSE school.so should i continue here in the matriculationboard? or should i go to a CBSE school bcoz as it is i have to do my 11th from CBSE only?

Don't know english/indian system but from my experience, study in comfortable environment.

Between one system and another, I've experience changing and school is school. You'll have to catch up on some things probably but school is NOT absolute.

For most of the things you learn, education is more the process than the knowledge you need. Obviously some schools are more difficult than others but that is another story.

Or put it this way, when you leave school, there is about max 3 sheets of paper that you probably need to know or even less.
The other is skills that are universal.

So, study in your current board and go CBSE next year. If you are in a comfortable environment (not say a hostel and away from home cooking etc), you will likely do better in school.

I think that you'd better wait for a year.....then It'll be easier......but the decision lies in your hands, If you don't mind living in a hostel, then you might go ahead and study cbse.
But still I'm not familiar with the matriculation in TN.... I'm also in the 9th std, CBSE syllabus but in Bangalore....
