Hello!!
I have a page on my website dedicated to SENTIMENTAL games for the shower....great to mix with the silly ones!! It will give your guests a chance to express their excitement, too!!
There is also a scavenger hunt game on there....which is perfect for invited guests who can't make it but want to contribute. Contact those guests and let them know about this game and they can help purchase those items, if they want!!
I put the link to that page below....

I had a shower for my sister recently and a fun thing that we did was ask everyone (in the invitation) to bring a baby picture of them self. I collected them as they arrived and put a piece of masking tape with a # on the back of each and kept a list of whose pic went with each #. Then when it was time to play the game, I passed each picture around the circle and everyone was to write down whose pic it was. And the person who got the most right got a little gift. It was fun and not one that anyone had done before! Some of the games are pretty repetitive! So something different and unique is always good!
Good Luck and have fun!

Do the game where everyone gets a safety pin to wear, and if they say the word of choice.. "baby"..."boy" ... "girl"...."shower".. things like that, the person that hears them say the word get to take their safety pin and claim it as their own. It's old, classic. But it's still fun. Make sure you do this when the party starts... people are good about not saying the word at first, but then some slip up, and .... well, you get the idea, it's a good time :) You'll laugh watching pins go back and forth from person to person..

a few games we had at my shower was ... we gave a diaper to everyone and in like 3 of them was melted chocolate and who ever had one that had "poop" in it got a prize.. another game we had was everyone got a cup with an ice cube in it and in the ice cube was a tiny blue plastic thing that looked like a chochi (soother, pacifier) and who evers ice cube melted (we called who evers water broke) so that the plastic cho chi was floating won a prize we also did a tray full of baby stuff and passed it along so everyone could see the tray and then we put a blanket over it and gave them a few minutes to write down on paper everything they could remember that was on the tray and who ever remembered the most of the stuff on the tray won a prize. we also did fill in the blanks and finish this song title example hit me__________ one more time = hit me baby one more time by britney spears another was _______ got back = baby got back by sir mix a lot another was ________ it's cold outside = baby it's cold outside... we also did a thing where whoever was wearing the most blue got a prize because I knew I was having a boy have fun and good luck
