Ok it is said that the republican party is the party of the rich right? ha not true if it was true then why is it that
According to labor statistics, in “blue” states with a majority of Democrats, the average income is $100,000. While in “red” states with a majority of Republicans, the average income is $30,000.
The biggest supporter of the Democrat Party, George Soros, is a billionaire. The other major supporters are Hollywood elites.
Among the wealthiest presidents to occupy the White House are:
John F. Kennedy (D): $20 million ($124 million today)
The Kennedy Trust: $400 million ($2.6 billion today)
Lyndon Johnson (D): $14 million ($82 million today)
Herbert Hoover (R): $8 million ($88 million today)
Franklin Roosevelt (D): $1 million ($11 million today)
In the 2004 presidential election, the order of wealth, starting with the wealthiest, was as follows:

1) John Kerry (D): Billionaire ($1.2 -$ 3.3 billion!) - includes Heinz Ketchup fortune
2) John Edwards (D): Millionaire ($70 million)
3) Dick Cheney (R): Millionaire ($50 million)
4) George W. Bush (R): Millionaire ($15 million)
When you hear Democrats complain about “Republican” wealth, note that John Edwards’ wealth alone exceeds the wealth of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney COMBINED.

The Republican Party of 1865 and the Democratic Party of the same era are not the same parties today. Remember, the GOP and southern Democrats fought the 1963 Civil Rights Bill and when it won, those Democrats switched to the GOP.
But let's not forget some stand up Republicans. President Eisenhower sent Federal troops into Little Rock in 1957 after Governor Orval Faubus used National Guard troops to keep black students from attending high school. Faubus was a Democrat. Nixon and all presidents have renewed the Voting Rights Bill of 1965. Let's not forget it was LBJ who introduced that bill.
I think part of the appeal of the Democratic Party for black people is that the GOP often seems so damn white - the country club Republicans. But on the other hand, the fundamental Christians, predominently white, often share many issues with black churches - anti gay marriage, anti abortion.
But you overstate by saying "far more".

Current Republicans are conservative republicans. The conservative ideologies differ greatly from the philosophies of the past Republicans. Reagan was where and when that shift happened. Ford (R), Nixon(R), and even Carter (D) were more aligned as liberal than conservative. Remember Reagan's trickle down economics theory? Tax breaks for the rich so they can spend more and drive the economy. More liberal policies say to increase spending on social programs to improve things from the bottom up. Conservatives don't want to spend money on social programs leaving many out in the cold. Your philosophies compared to current party philosophies determine your party alignment, not history.

I believe, and I have plenty of reason to believe, that neither party are for any of the so called common people regardless of their race, religion, or gender. They are strictly for the Globalist Elite, and they only PRETEND to have oppossing values, or any concern, what so ever, about any of the so called, common people.
Primary Objectives
Stop the polarization of America
Stop the domination of the Democratic and Republican parties over our political system
Shut down the Federal Reserve system
Return America's gold to Fort Knox and have it audited
Have Congress and the IRS, in a public forum, reveal the law that requires Americans to pay a direct, unapportioned tax on their labor.
Make computerized voting illegal in all 50 states
Keep the internet free and out of the control of large institutions
Rescind the law called the Real ID Act so Americans never have to carry a National ID Card
Make it illegal to implant RFID chips in human beings
Educate juries to the fact that they have the right to determine the law as well as the facts of a case
Educate juries to the fact that they are not obligated to follow the instructions of a judge
Stop Globalization because it is the path to a one world government
Protect our borders
Restore the environment
Put an end to the Patriot Act
Sign up millions of Americans so we can accomplish our objectives
Refuse to vote for, or support any candidate for any office unless said candidate show public proof that he or she has signed an affidavit stating that he or she will vote to shut down the Federal Reserve.!!!!!

It baffles me. I'm a Democrat but I think that the blacks are supposed to be a bit more grateful to the GOP. Before the election of 1932, blacks were loyal to the Republican party. They voted for McKinley in 1896 but during the depression they were hit hard. FDR came in with social programs and lifting words. It captured the black vote and from then on, the rest is history.

I am now sure how you got to the conclusion that Republicans have done more for black people. That is at least debatable. Perhaps the reason that anyone (black, white, Hispanic, Asian, whatever) chooses to be a Democrat is that they see the basic character of the Republican party as being the party of big business with an exploitative agenda. Workers, the environment, or other countries seem to exist only to be exploited. Historically, the Democratic party has been the champion of the common man and has tried to keep an even playing field that does not allow people with power (money) to take unfair advantage of the rest of society.

Great question! You've done your research and it shows.
I think that people (black or white) only see the present. They have no foresight and, apparently, they don't have much hindsight either. They see what is happening now and if they aren't getting their food stamps and welfare right when they want them, then they are only going to listen to those who tell them that they'll give that stuff to them right away and not to the ones who want to get them in a position where they won't even need those things.

Amazing isn't it? Excellent question too.
Maybe it's the LIBERAL teacher's union that feeds this myth into the minds of black school children.
Maybe it's the VERY LIBERAL instructors in our community colleges who continue to feed this myth.
Why don't these people see that the Liberals are USING them -- "keeping them down" etc.
Look at very liberal city/area: NEW ORLEANS: what a mess. blamed all problems on the Republicans but it was Liberal Dems running the city/county/state. ! It was the local government who screwed up.
LOOK AT DETROIT: city full of IDIOT democrats waiting for a handout from stupid hip hop mayor (ha ha) and Socialist Governor Jennifer Granholm (who happens to be a freeekin idiot).
Why can't the poor black people think for themselves and figure this out? huh? why? When their fellow black men/women become properly educated, they are usually Republicans.

Great....Great post. I have a black co-worker who is a stanch democrat and I am blown away by some of the answers I get from him. When I told him Lincoln was a Republican he didn't believe me until I showed him. I believe the reason, like many have stated, is due to the fact they are led to believe Dems are for the minority...when in truth they really aren't.

Dont forget Senator Robert Byrd (D), "former" KKK member.
George Bush has appointed more minorities to his cabinet than any other US president. What Republicans don't support is handouts to those who are able, but unwilling to work. Unfortunately, there are many minorities who take advantage of social programs which tend to get the support of Democrats, and that is why inner cities are pro-Dem.
BTW, Bush didnt speak at the NAACP while Julian Bond was president, because he continually referred to Bush as a Hitler and various other derogatory names.

So many black people are democrats because of the republicans. Bush doesn't care about SS or heath care. so it's not just "black people" its the majority of the country that actually have jobs that weren't born with a silver spoon, that are democrats.
