It is a Federal offense to steal mail.
You or someone else at least have to see him do it.
Contact the post office, they will turn it over to the magistrate and a search warrant will be issued.
If they catch him with your mail, he won't be stealing mail again for quite some time.

Simple, call the police and US Post Office. If your neighbor is stealing your mail, he is committing a federal offense. In the mean time, have your mail delivered some where secure such as a PO box or a commercial drop box

Setup one of the game cameras that take pictures of animals when they walk by.
It will give you a date/time stamp.
The cost is about 35 bucks or so.
You will have your proof and call the post office.
After which you can have a going away party for your neighbor because that person won't be coming back in your lifetime.

Shoot him? Great guys, just great. Remind me never to have you as neighbors.
Get a mailbox you can lock, or put a slot in the door and get the mail that way, unless you really want to spend the time and trouble catching him in the act.

Depends on which state you live in. If he's breaking into your place to steal your mail, wait for him to do it, when he breaks in shoot him, call the police and say you shot an intruder, that someone had broken in before and you were scared and closer to the gun than the phone.
That'll work in Virginia and Texas and other sensible states.
It'll get you 20 to life in communist enclaves like Massachusetts.

The positioned up workplace oftentimes won't show screen a private abode. What i might do is get a pretend surveillance digicam (approximately 20 greenbacks on eBay) and mount it on the abode in common view of the mailbox with the lens directed on the mailbox. with any success, the neighbours will see you putting it up in order that which you comprehend that they comprehend that's there. they're going to in all danger cut back it out. Or, in case you comprehend approximately what time of day the robbery oftentimes occurs, attempt to take a image of her taking your mail. with a bit of luck that's at night and you ought to take a flash image. The flash will in all danger scare the bejesus out of her and you won't even ought to do something with the image as quickly as she is conscious you have data of her strikes.

You can report your suspicions to the Postal Service or your local law enforcement but as you said,"How can you prove it." If this is an ongoing problem I would recomend you get a post office box.

You need tot get you a camera, take the pisture of him stealing, turn it over to the police. You will need to get a silent camera. Either that or plant one of them dye bombs in your box and when he try's again, bang, he'll be all orange or blue. I like the orange. Also, you can buy a motion detector flash and when he comes near, it will go off and scare the crap out of him.

ok first off, do you know for a fact it is your neighbor? and how exactly do you know?
you could try setting up a camera to catch him in the act, video evidence is the best kind of evidence, then take it to the police.. stealing mail is a federal offense.
