This is a very good question and leads to the high divorce rate in the country. First off unfortunately most younger girls do believe in happy ever after. They are waiting for their prince, and when they are not 100% happy they want out. This shows a sign of immaturity. In life there is no such thing as 100% happiness. A marriage is a give and take. A healthy marriage means you are happy at least 60% of the time. It is unrealistic to think one person is reliable for your total happiness. I am not saying all divorce is unjustified, just about 40% of them. People are human they make mistakes, so the likelihood of happily eve rafter is very slim. My brother in law just got a divorce from a very spoiled misinformed 25 year old. She was told you are to be 100% happy in a marriage, and that she was better than the life she was living to pretty to be poor. So, after having a baby and the only real problem in her marriage was finance's she wanted out because she said she was not happy. Think about it people be realistic!

The phrase "happily ever after" comes from a fairy tale. Most men and women realize that relationships have their ups and downs and that they take a lot of work to last in the long run. The focus should be on "til death do us part". That is indeed possible, and in a happy manner.

No woman ever in the history of mankind believed in totally happily ever after. Women know that all relationships have their ups and downs. Girls do believe in the fairy tale. Hopefully they grow up, some never do.

I know I do! Now that doesn't mean I don't think we'll have arguments or fights...but I do expect I'll be MORE satisfied and happier than most couples today! Which really is Happily Ever After...it's been 4 years, met him ONLINE, we have our issues but we are madly in love! That is H.E.A. It's all about ROMANCE...keepin the magic alive.

That's the problem, the fairy tale.....Happily Ever After, which implies that all is well and it was wonderful and everything just fell into place, when in reality, relationships are hard work and you've got to put effort into them to get to the happy part, and you've got to keep putting effort into them to get the ever after part.

No nowadays we have choices. 1-800 numbers and internet and church and clubs. All these places we could meet new men. But happily ever after is a way of thinking when you think your in love.

No. Only because... it not that easy. Any great, successful relationship is a lot of work... and nothing like a fairy tale! But the 'happily ever after 'result it possible... its just not as easy to get to as the fairy tale entails.....
