Years ago when I worked in a department store. two guys wearing nondescript overalls rolled up a carpet and just carried it out of the shop. no-one batted an eyelid. I'm not sure it would be so easy today but not impossible.

never tryed it, but my other half once went to homebase put 3 fence panels on a trolley and walked out, i nearly had a heart attack i was so scared, the reason behind his madness, the queue was moving slow, only one till open, and they should care more about getting staff to help, then people wouldnt get angry anough to nick it hahahaha
