I am Indian.I am proud of my country not because its the most powerful in the world. But because they have the capability to be the most powerful in the world. Why are Indian people ignorant you ask?

1. We tend to litter in the street and do other unclean things to our enviroment.Though the last time I went to India 1 year ago it was cleaner then it was 3 years ago. However we as Indian people must stop littering.

2. Social intolerance. Why can't we just learn to live with each other!! Iam Tamil Nadu,I am Gujarati,I am Punjabi that is what we say.We never say "I am Indian".We always divide ourselves and if that does not stop then India will divide until every street is its own nation. We must not divide ourselves. If the Muslim people call for peace then that will happen. If the minority groups start to join hands then we will be undefeatable. There are so many things we can do and yet our ignorance stops us from doing that.

3. The caste system. The middle class and thr rich are rising. But we are forgetting to bring a large group with us!The poor.If they are not given the same opportunity as the rich then we are missing some potencial workers. And yet our ignorance divides us with dalits and the poor people. We must not walk past those poor people like they are dirt.We must include them in the economic boom.

4. The corruption.People these days are so ignorant in India they think of devoloping themselves as people but are blinded by the fact that developing as a nation will have more benefits.

We think that by ignoring this we can escape from the reality. But one day the same problem will come before us.

WHAAAAT?

Were we ignorant during the tsunami, earthquakes, floods, bomb blasts? We did consider the other unknown being out there in need and provided the possible relief we could, didn't we?

In my opinion "Ignorance" is "Darkness" and "Knowledge" is "Light". Our people find it very convenient and easy to be ignorant. Some say "It is better to light a candle than curse darkness.". God only must help our people. "Each one must teach one.".
