Why is it that people always say that I'm only book smart not a social and situation solver smart?

help...What should I do??...I don't want to be called like that forever..But the thing is I'm always nervous and insecure about social life and problem solver so I'm always ended up like It's only first time I do this kind of thing ...

They say that cause you have the tendency to make choices according to what you learned from a book instead of following your heart. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing, and it's good to have knowledge. An example would be a drug/alcohol rehabs...any drug addict or alcoholic will tell you that they sooner have a counselor who has been through it, instead of someone who was book smart. A book smart person can read about relaps, but can never really understand why a person relaps, unless one experiences it. I would try to listen to what your heart says...instead of what a book might say.
