Uh-oh. Sounds like the leaching field is saturated - that's the bed of gravel around the septic tank. That's worse than just needing your septic tank pumped. Locate your septic tank cover. Walk the ground in an ever widening circle from the tank cover (is it squishy?)maybe 20 feet around, especially down a slope if there is one.
Don't just call any pumping service - ask around for a reputable company. Gas station owners, supervisors who work for the town public works department, mailmen, think of types of people who work with the public in your area, chances are, they have opinions.
Some companies charge extra if they have to locate your septic tank, so make sure that the cover is obvious, and be home when they come. If you're a single woman, arrange to have a manly looking man handy for crediblity (sorry ladies and gents, I know times have changed, but it never hurts to be prepared for all eventualities) Ask questions, go sit in a lawn chair far away, ask questions. Be very nice, would you want that job? Good luck.

First, especially if you haven't already had it done in a year or two, is to get a honey truck out there to suck out and clean you tank. Then you can see if that helps your problem. If not, you might need to have your drainage field and/or drain field pipes looked at. Might need to have pipes replaced or drain field relocated.

I presume you have a weeping tile that is hooked up to , they may be plugged, (tree roots, cig butts, grease, oil , anything foreign), if not , a septic only holds waste and needs to be pumped out , call a crap sucking ser and ask them.

Get in there and see if you see any blockage. maybe something was flushed down that shouldn't have. Find the hole, and stick yer head in there for a peek.
