i use virtual earth and can see good until i zoom in is there a way to see close to the ground

You can only see certain places clearly...but I think that if you subscribe and get the real version, you could see everything clearly! I love it!:-)

That's because of the camera resolution. The cameras are in a geosynchronous orbit around the earth at thousands of miles up. The cameras are looking through the earths atmosphere and the dust and other pollutants cause the image to distort. Especially from that distance. In some areas, google has some high defintion images which are taken for special purposes but even these are only good down to about 2000 feet or so. Good luck.

You can only see close to the ground in certain places like new york city or london.Other less well known places have yet to be mapped fully.

Will you could go on www.yahoo.com and at the top you could see images and click on it and type in virtual earth . or you could go on www.google.com and when you get there go to imagesand type in what you wanted.
