There are pyramids all over central and southern mexico. The most impressive are probably at Teotihuacan, right outside Mexico City, but you can also find lot's of places with mayan ruins in Chiapas, Tabasco and the Yucatan peninsula. One of the most beautiful is Tulum, with a mayan pyramid on top of a cliff overlooking the Caribbean sea.

Teotihuacan, Uxmal, Chicen-Itza, Palenque, Tula, Cholula to name a few ancient cities. Maybe you meant the ancient pyramids of Tenochtitlan, in which case you want the main plaza, the Zocalo, in Mexico City. Walk to the National Cathedral and right behind it you'll find the dig.
