If your computer has a 'fax modem', than yes. I had one of those back in the early 90's, but I don't think they are very common now.

Check your computer's documentation. If you have a fax modem, they will have provided software to send the faxes with.

Of course U can. But U need a modem which supports sending fax.

U need a fax software and U can do a google search for "free fax software".

Yes, set up a contact in Outlook with the fax number in the Fax field. Then send the files via Outlook to the fax contact.

XP has a built in fax program but it is usually not installed by default. Go to start/control panel/add-remove windows components and install the fax services. You will then see it under accessories/communications after it is installed.

BTW data/fax modems are available all over the place.
