how does one get it out? I tried and I thought I had soak up the pee but the matress still smells like urine. Does anyone know how to clean a matress after it has been peed in. I get so frustrated because my daughter keeps peeing in the bed and I hate trying to clean it it alsmost seems impossible.

Hose it down with frebrese or lysol then get a plastic cover for it, but you never really going to get the pee stain or smell out

I've found a few sites that may help you out (listed below)
However, the real problem is that that urine has soaked into the mattress, it is not just on the top. I would try one or more of these suggestions and then maybe even try Febreeze or something? For sure put waterproof sheets on the bed though; sheets would be cheaper than a new mattress and would reduce your frustration level!! Good luck

I have used my Bissel Little Green Machine on my mattress when my son had an accident and then used Lysol and I have not had a problem.

pour vinegar on the stain and blot it up. vinegar will neutralize the odor. then just let it air dry after you blot up all you can.
