Yes. Be prepared to be "investigated" just as anywhere else: ability to pay, steady job with adequate income, not too much in debt, references, etc.
Check the apartment, the apartment complex and the contract BEFORE you sign.

As long as you have a green card, a landlord can be reasonably confident that you will not be deported.
