Depends what you're into. If you want something that like rock, but intelligent, and a really nice listen, you could always try Muse. They have songs for almost whatever you're feeling, whether angry, or sad, or happy. Mobile is great as well, a little bit like U2. Hope this helps, and if you want some of the songs to try just pm me and I can email some to you.

Van Halen, Beastie Boys, Pink Floyd, or the especially good Korn. Hope this helps you a little.

check sites with lyrics to help spark your memory. That is what I do lots of times when I want to remember a lot of old songs and groups I can't remember. Usually just seeing the name of the group helps before I even look at the lyrics

I was going to suggest some Gregorian Chant until I saw the remainder of your question. Beatles does it for me, every time!

as long as its a mp3 of mp4 audio report, that's going to bypass. yet like another answer-er reported...in case you open the song with iTunes then that's going to bypass on your iPod as long as you have it checked.
