God loves us all but what it has got to do with us being happy or sad? We suffer and feel sad because of our own doings. Next time when you feel sad rather blaming god look within and you will find out why you are sad.

Some say its a privation.
Suffering is a lack of good in that situation. In the same way when we turn on a light on and off. We turn on a light in a dark room. We do not say darkness has entered the room, but it was there prior to the light being turned on and is still there during the light being left on.
Others say its the fall.
Since we have free will we have fallen away from God due to its misuse and this has caused suffering.

It is true that God love us. It is crucial to remember the other side of the story. God created the perfect domain for us to reside with him. He said, "you may eat of any tree in the garden except one." We made the choice to disobey and ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It was at that moment when we seperated ourselves from His perfection and brought a curse upon the world (for more information on this, refer to the first few chapters of Genesis).
I believe we suffer and feel sad, not because it's what God wants or anything like that, but because by our choice (more specifically Adam's and Eve's) to disobey God and yield to sin.
Here's the best part: He's reconciled us from that curse through Jesus Christ's sacrifice (who is now raised from the dead and at the right hand of God!!). He has erased the gap! We don't have to suffer or feel sad. God is waiting for us to run to Him so that He may embrace us and comfort us. In my life, there has been no greater joy than that!!

Because God suffers and feels sad. If my children did to me, what his have done to Him and His creations in His Name, I'd feel sad too.

If a surgeon cuts out a cancer to cure a loved one, does he love that one less because of putting them through pain and suffering?
No. If the patient got the cancer because they refused to stop known risk factors (such as smoking), is it the surgeons fault that the patient got sick? No. God's love has never changed and neither has man's ability to position themselves in ways that are harmful.

It's a flawed premise, if god even existed, the bible clearly shows he does NOT love us all. He slaughtered thousands upon thousands of men, women, and babies in the Old Testament. Babies.
But he doesn't exist anyway.
