well done firstly on the weight loss and quiting the fags this is a good start.
Your more likely to concieve on the clomid if you are at a healthy weight and it might even kick start you into ovulation yourself and not need any drugs if your not to overweight.
I would also sugest that if you drink alcohol I'd stop this is aswell.
Carry on with the weight loss and aim for a bmi of between 20 and 25 as this is supossed to be the healthy range .
Take up some exercise that you enjoy try walking, swimming and bycling as these are gentle exercisies and you can build on them at your own pace.
Try charting your bbt and cm fluid to see if you are ovulating as you might be and not know it they say losing 10 o/o of your body weight can do this. you have to be able to take your temp at the same time every morning this gives a better chance of it showing up ovulation
start taking folic acid as this can help you have a healthy baby before you even get pregnant. You could try the angus cactus as this is suppossed to balance out your hormones.
try to not think to much about the pcos put it at the back of your mind as this can stress you out and stress can stop you ovulating
good luck hope you soon have a baby

I have pcos and tried for 3 years to conceive my son. I finally saw an endocrinologist who put me on 1500mg of metformin a day. There seems to be a strong link between insulin resistance and pcos. I got pregnant within 3 months of being on the pills. I also had good success with eating fewer carbs(not atkins or anything the like). Metformin does have some funky gastro side effects which I found were always worse when I ate carbs. Good luck!!

Certain sex positions have been known to increase the chances of getting pregnant. Missionary, rear entry (doggy style,) and lying side by side have been the most effective methods. These positions have deepest penetration and places sperm closer to the cervix. Also, try elevating your hips with a pillow so your cervix is exposed to the maximum amount of sperm. Remain in bed for up to half an hour following intercourse, perfearably on your back and again, with a pillow under your pelvic region. This provides sperm with additional travel time up to the fallopian tube along with the help of gravity to hopefully increase the chance or pregnancy. Also keep up with your doctors visits for they know what they are doing.

Hi, I have PCOS too, after being on Dianette for 6 years, I came off it and six months later got pregnant without trying! went back on it after son was born in 2001 and came off it last august and got pregnant after six weeks! It is a contraceptive which sounds weird but it is also a drug to control PCOS. I am convinced it cured my PCOS. you could ask your doc? My best friend also has it and she has been trying for a year, she is on Metformin but has no luck so far, Good luck babe!

if you still have weight to lose continue with your diet as its obviously working, well done on losing 12lbs, its a start in the right direction. you should also try and do at least 30mins of exercise 3x a week and make sure your drinking alot of water at least 8 glasses aday. Agnus castus is also meant to be good for helping to regulate periods and increase chances of conception. good luck
