O'Leary's in Brookline is a quieter pub that serves a killer Guiness (slow pour) and Boddingtons. For a more testosterone driven bar, you can try the Banshee on Dot Ave in Dorchester (part of Boston). Mat Murphy's is in Brookline as well - excellent pub food, and great beer. Jacob Wirths in Boston has a huge beer selection. So does Sunset Grille in Allston.

Tom English's Cottage in Southie

Cheap Beer, Great Laid-Back Crowds, Cheap Beer, TVs, Darts, Pool, Cheap Beer, Great Atmosphere and Did I Mention the Cheap Beer?

Easily my favorite bar in all of Boston, it's so low-key, great place to go to unwind and relax.

Baseball Tavern....at least before a game is a fun time and is right around the ball park. Fenway's a dump, don't listen to any Sox fan tell you about it. It is small, old, expensive and most of the seats are turned toward the OF.
