Masturbation is healthy and normal. It is good for a young man or boy to masturbate. There are all kinds of benefits and it is important in his sexual development. Age 11 is not to young. You should have a talk with him assure him that masturbation is okay and not wrong and that there are no bad side affects. Then also assure him that you will work hard to honor his privacy and that as an adult you will respect his modesty and not try to catch him nude or masturbating. Talk about how it is a form of sex with our selves and like all sex should be personal and private. Talk about how to masturbate safely and how to use lubricants. Talk about cleaning up afterward and cleaning himself and give him a box of kleenex. Then tell him that if he has any questions about sex, masturbation, etc. he can come to you. Check out the parent information on the following sites. www.boysunderattack.com. www.jackinworld.com, and www.coolnurse.com. Also, you can inform him that masturbation is not sinful because it is not mentioned in the bible in either the old or new testament.

Being a mother you will be concerned more than a father, because you don't understand the natural and not harmful--- reason, since more than 90% of males do it from childhood into adult life. Whereas, only 80% of females. masturbate. Since the ageof puberty is lowering because of good health and nutrition, it will not be unheard of boys at age 9 or 10 masturbating and producing a fluid ejaculant. Only guessing you are the mother, you must have seen your son even as an infant playing with his genitals in front of you and accepted.. Now y that he's doing it out of sight unless you walk in on him ,have you become concerned It will not be healty to him should uou scold him and tell him he will go blind or grow hair on his palms. Accept his masturbation and use it as an avenue for sexua education i case you have not started it yet.

You don't know if it's healthy or not? So didn't you masterbate as a child? Come on - you already know the answer. And you shouldn't be so interested in his private life. Leave the kid alone.

It is perfectly healthy. Masterbation is usually something that we dicover at a young age. Right now he is vulnarable and if you tell him it is wrong, he is going to grow up believing that all his life. He will also be very embarrased and closed around you. He should feel free to explore his body and learn what it does. Later he will learn what is really going on, but for now let him have fun with it.

This could be a little worry some to a parent, but the fact is that puberty starts at a very young age, and ejaculation is possible very early in puberty. Many teenage boys start maturbating between the ages of 10 to 15. There are many sites you can go to read about the ages and about puberty.
Such as..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masturbation
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puberty
http://www.healthystrokes.com
I wish you luck, this is the hardest time to be a parent.

Absolutely. As soon as a boy reaches puberty, he should be more aware of his genitals, and the response that comes from touching them, and the response that he gets when she sees girls or some erotic sight. Personally, I started at 13, and many of my friends started around 10 or 11.

He's probably been doing it a lot longer than you think.
Yes, it's healthy. Masturbation promotes a healthy prostate. Although at 11, that's not an issue.

Let him masturbate,he's growing and he's getting to know himself. That will not harm him or anybody,it's like part of life, some time for ourselves, alone in a room,no stress, everything is calm, until we finish,we feel relax.and it's good for the heart too. Some kids start before that age and that's perfectly normal.So...stop worrying,he's OK.

People start at different ages. I was about 11 when i started. Just site down and ask him if he wants to talk about it. If he doesn't don't stress the subject. It is perfectly normal.

Welcome to the world of preteen adolescence. It is perfectly normal at this stage in his life. Just be glad he is not having sex yet. Now would be a good time to talk to him about the facts of life and let him know that all these new feeling and things going on in his body are a part of growing up.
