As a victim of it myself, I can personally atest to this! They can make your life a living hell , as they ruin your credit, your reputation and steal everything you have worked for in college and everything else. They can open bank accounts, steal your bank accounts, steal your computer information and email accounts. Most have criminal records and will use yours to evade police capturing them. Or if you have not filed identity theft complaints, they can have outstanding warrants in your name and the police come after you. My suggestion is to make police reports of identity theft when you find wrong information on your credit reports, file with United Stated Postal Inspectors, and Federal Trade Commission and place credit frezes on your credit! Also inform the Social Security Administration of the wrongful use of your social security number.

Become you! Especially if they have your credit cards. They can make purchases as you and have them shipped to another address or just sign your name at a store. Stores do not really check for identification.
Good luck if your information has been used. It would be better to change all of you credit cards and maybe even change your bank account.

1. start a new life for themselves.
2. open and abuse credit accounts you're responsible for -- try buying a house with f_cked up credit.
3. they can totally screw up your health insurance
4. steal many, many, many hours of your time because you'll spend many hours at work trying to clear this up
5. commit bigger crimes in your name. won't be fun getting stopped for speeding and discovering there's a warrant for your arrest for something more serious.

Run up debt, ruin your credit, sell your ss# to illegals so they can work and you'll end up with 500 w-2's at the end of each year. Get credit cards and run them up, never paying them. .....
