A year ago, he referred to Hamas as "so-called terrorists" which has merely "there is an element ... who deny Israel's right to exist," when it is the Hamas charter which calls for the destruction of Israel and the slaughter of Jews. Then he accuses of being an apartheid state, and claims "the Jewish lobby" lets no US leader can criticize any aspect of Israeli policy. What do you think?

Tink, it seems to me you have trouble distinguishing anti-Israelism from anti-Judaism, so I suggest this blog article: http://www.mikesilverman.com/2002_09_29_log_archive.html#85507228

Map, I saw the Peanut on the Today Show this morning. He reminded me of Mel Gibson, the way he tried to deny his feelings.

I have to believe Menachem Begin who may years ago said that he accomplished more by speaking directly with Anwar Sadat when Jimmy Earl Crackerboy was out of the room because carter had a definite anti-semetic slant.

Sounds like the same accusations made about Pat Buchannan. Carter and some Jewish people think that the Palestinians and Jews can live and co-exist. In fact, there are some orgs in Israel, that are Palestinian and Jewish, whose goal is exactly that. You will not hear about it, though. There are also many Israeli soldiers that are refusing to be deployed to the Palestinian areas, because they think it is wrong to make these people move from where they have been for generations. Because Peace does not make the news.

Criticising Israeli policies towards the Palestinians does not make him an antisemitic...

No,I have absolutely no trouble making the difference between being against a religion and beign against the policy of a state...I have absolutely nothing against Judaism,I respect it,like I respect all the other religions...I have a few problems with the way the Israeli government is treating the Palestinians and with the fact the the Israeli government is refusing to apply international law:to end the occupation, allow Palestinians to have their own state and allow the refugees to come back...(2 major problems alongside with many others)...I also have a problem with Israeli's government hypocrisy:asking other countries to apply the international law that they totally refuse to respect...

Well said map...

Being critical of Israels foreign or domestic policies is not being anti Jewish or anti Semitic. I suggest you go to NPR radio where you can hear Carter explain in his own words hot he came up with the title of his recent book and also his response to the criticism leveled against him.
RESPONSE - My mistake. Apparently you were only looking for answers that would reaffirm your preexisting biased perceptions.
