1st, you must replace the hose completely, you cannot replace just the flare

2nd, if you need to ask how to do it then you might as well take it to a trained, trusted, and certified auto technician and let them fix the problem right.

Good luck.

Don't even try to put pipe dope on the fitting. It is a mechanical seal, not made for any kind of sealant. You need to replace the entire hose, the fittings are part of the hose. I would not attemptt it unless you feel you are a competent mechanic with the right tools. If you attemp it. There is one very important kit to buy. You will have to replace the heat shield between the exhaust system and the rack and pinion steering system. Don't leave it out if you remove it. My Taurus was leaking at the steering hoses after some idiot I paid try to fix the leak. And did not replace the heat shield properly, and caused the still leaking hydraulic fluid from the steering system to catch on fire. The hoses are very close to the exhaust manifold exiting the engine.

If it is leaking at the flare fitting itself, you could try to put a thin layer of pipe dope on the surface of the flare and the cone of the fitting the flare goes over and tighten it up. This is an old pipefitting trick I have had great success with on hydraulic systems, and the power steering system on a car is just a hydraulic system. Success to your repair endeavor!
