Usually, not much more than minimum wage, and they are the backbone of the hotel. Not to mention that it is one of the hardest, sweatiest, nastiest jobs in the hotel industry, and also one of the most thankless and back breaking.

Close to minimum wage. By the way, it's ok to tip the maid too! Leave the tip (a buck or two an night) on the pillow or under the little tent card they leave sometimes. Otherwise it's not certain if it's a tip or something unintentionally left behind. If you stay multiple nights, leave the tip each morning - it may not be the same person cleaning each day.

Be nice to hotel cleaning staff. Short of waiters and waitresses, this is one of the most thankless, underpaid, and hardest working jobs out there!

Mostly minimum wages unless it's a higher end hotel. Check wages U.S. Department of Labor to do some research.
