run disk cleanup and disk defrag, go to programs accesories system tools to find those. Also delete all of your cookies and interent files that are stored on your computer, go to control panel then go to network and internet connections after that go to set up or change internet connection , then click on general tab and then click the delete cookies and delete files buttons. If you have never done this it should free up 4 or so GB of space. Also go through your my documents folders and delete anyhting that you arent usings
You can try the steps from this HP help website I went through alls these and it helped improve the workings of my laptop

disk fragmentation doesn't reduce much space it only align and take out the garbages out,

also ur telling that even after removal of software and others there is not enough space
so
it seems to be formation of " bad sectors in hard disk ",
try "disk error check " on every drive it will show the error,

if not then format the disk which show more error.

Disk cleanup facilitates you delete issues on your force that are no longer sensible to reclaim some area. Disk defrag rejoins each and all of the information on your annoying force that are no longer related. now and lower back, information could have assorted areas on diverse areas of the annoying force. Disk defragmenting places those areas jointly, so your computing device would not ought to seek for them.
