The best thing to give a infant is cereal rice, when they are about 4 months old.

Rice, the gerber brands of rice and oatmeal are both designed so that they can be fed to babies but rice is the better of the two for the young ones. Start out with it kind of thin and gradually thicken it up to normal consistancy and always feed it with a spoon... some people think it's okay to use a bottle but it's really not.

I think its just preference, I started with Rice Cereal at 4 months then introduced Oatmeal a month later. Shes doing great on it. Just depends on mother, they both are easy to digest if you get beginner stage and they both are good for baby.

while my son grow to be 3 mths, the rice cereal did no justice for his urge for nutrition, i might routinely combination it with enfamil formulation . I asked the rfile, if I ought to alter the cereal, he reported yea. He defined that the oatmeal cereal is plenty thicker in content textile while blended with milk - water. in my view, i might say use the oatmeal cereal, its fit, extra food and since the rfile reported its thicker. that's going to hold to her tummy extra suitable than the cereal- meaning much less feedings throughout a three-6 hr era. If the oatmeal cereal reasons probs i might say proceed to nurse her, your physique will top off the milk furnish and each little thing would be large. attempt it first then see what occurs. BTW ask your rfile concerning to the little gerber nutrition products .

RICE. Single grain and much easier to digest than multi-grain oatmeal. Also I'd wait until about 5 or 6 months.

Most common to start with rice, then move on to others. BTW - better to wait til the baby's at least 4 months old.

rice is better to start, it does not have as much fiber as oatmeal, let baby get used to rice for a while then try oatmeal.
