I want to get a new graphics card for windows vista, but my computer only has a PCI-Express x1 and a PCI slot. It is difficult to find one for PCI-Express x1 and I heard that PCI graphic cards don't preform too well.

It's time for a whole new computer. PCI is not a good choice for a primary video card. Try http://www.tigerdirect.com or http://www.cdw.com for video cards.

By the way. I wouldn't load Windows Vista on a computer until at least the first service pack is released. Microsoft is notorious for releasing bad operating systems. Let other people have the problems first.

When you do load Vista, make sure you double the minimum required RAM and get a much faster than the minimum speed processor. Microsoft is also notorious for giving minimum specs that will run the OS but it will be very slow and choppy.

Vista is loaded with a bunch of resource hogging crap. So you are going to need a fast computer with lots of RAM and a high end video card.
