If it is just clicking, it sounds like your starter is bad.

Probably something with the battery, or cables. Try cleaning the battery posts and cable clamps to see if you're just not getting a good connection. If it still starts sluggish like you describe, take the battery to an auto parts store for testing. They can tell if it is needing replacement. It could be your alternator, but it usually isn't, and the alternator can also be checked by the auto parts place, if needed. Lastly, it may be your starter solenoid. Again, the parts place can help with that too. Try jumper cables to see if it starts easily from another battery. That would rule out the starter as the problem.

If the battery is 4 - 5 years old, it may need to be replaced. It sounds like you may need a new starter also, but take your car to the nearest auto parts store like O'Reilly or Pep Boys and have them check the battery FIRST. If the battery isn't the problem have someone check the battery cables and then the starter. Good Luck

that sounds like your battery, it is the connection probably but the battery could have a bad cell. go to o'reilly, auto zone, etc and they will test your battery for free. they also will hook it up if your check engine soon light comes on. if battery is good, then it's your starter.

First make sure with the battery n make it fully charged.
Check out whether the alternator functions properly or not.
Hey if it doesn't work take it to your mechanic he will surely make it out.
