Shawshank Redemption is an excellent movie, I also like American Beauty......I know it's kind of weird but it has a lot of valid points about life that are over looked.

For comedy, you can't go wrong with Dogma and Office Space. Serious movies, I would say Black Hawk Down and Shawshank Redemption.

I agree with you on The Shawshank Redemption, but it does share the spot with the three Hannibal movies. Gotta love Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter!

I LOVE THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION!!! Matt Damon (I think) is sooo cute, and Morgan Freeman did an excellent job as always. But I am also in a toss between Love & Basketball and Brown Sugar. They're are about bestfriends that fall in love when the grow older and realize that they needed that friend to be their companion.

I don't think I can just pick one. I like a variety of movies. Dirty Dancing, Grease, Outsiders, Phantom of the Opera, Legend of the Fall, Sweet Home Alabama, Step Up, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Amittyville Horror, all the Saws. I pretty much like every and anything.

1. First Blood (1982)
Dramatic action classic features Sylvester Stallone as one of his two iconic film characters (the other being Rocky Balboa, of course): John Rambo is a sullen and traumatized Vietnam veteran who starts his own private war in the Northwestern United States when ignorant, bullying small-town sheriff Will Teasle (Brian Dennehy) pushes him too far. Rambo's long-ago superior, Col. Trautman (Richard Crenna) comes in to try to talk some sense into him.

2. Last Man Standing (1996)
A drifting gunslinger-for-hire (Bruce Willis) finds himself in the middle of an ongoing war between the Irish and Italian mafia in a Prohibition era ghost town.
Also starring Christopher Walken as the cold blooded violent enforcer, Hickey, Bruce Dern as the Sheriff, Will Sanderson as barkeep Joe Monday and RD Call as Jack McCool
