It was unusual within recent history since the Supreme Court had to come in and say look, three recounts all showing the same result is enough.
It is also unusual in the misrepresentations since then. Most people know that several newspapers commissioned unofficial recounts after the fact using various criteria. Many people think Gore won those recounts. It's not true. There were over a dozen recounts applying different criteria for what counted as a vote and unless you count ballots with Gore punched AND someone else punched as Gore votes, Gore still lost in each recount.

Numerous recounts caused the final decision to be delayed for weeks. The Supreme Court finally put an end to the recounts.
You mean the US election, right?

That the loser would not give up on calling for recounts. The medias complicity in the bid to seat an unelected candidate.
It was the first time the media were blatantly in favor of a candidate and actively pursued his election. It should have been a wake up call for the citizens of this country that the media has actively made a bid for control of the country.

a very closely divide state. The popular vote has not matched up with the electoral college before, and there have even been recounts before, and people being turned away from polls where they should have been allowed to vote, and voter role fraud in previous elections. It was a perfect storm of all of thees things.

It was the first time since the 19th century that the person who received the majority of the popular vote lost the electoral vote and therefore the election.
Gore won the popular vote by around 1 million votes, but lost the electoral college to Bush.

The liberals had to have the votes counted until they won, the Supreme Court had to finally put a stop to it. If you look at the Governors race in Washington state you will see why. That race was stolen by the liberals on the third recount.

The fact that the Supreme Court intervened and did so in order to say that the election officials had better NOT count all of the ballots, had better NOT find out for sure who really won.
