I see people like willy nelson, who looks healthy as ever. Since I have started smoking marijuana, I have found the intellectual side of me come out. How is smoking marijuana to "feel good" every day any different than taking wellbutrin or prozac to make sure you are not moody? Is it because marijuana can be grown too easily therefore avoiding a tax? Something tells me there is more to it than whats at the surface. If our minds are so eaily made up by propagnda like "reefer madness" , there is no telling what we are capable of believing on TV. I would be intrested in hearing both sides of this argument.

It's not bad for you (as compared to alcohol or cigs); read marijuana myths, marijuana facts

Ok, here's some salient points:
1) The government doesnt want people to be free-thinkers or any reduction in peoples materialistic, competitive drive. Marijuana does both these things. This is why it's evil.

2) Marijuana can be abused simply because with consistent use, its effects are highly mitigated. Therefore, it is more likely people abusing it will NEVER hit bottom. For experienced users, any familiar tasks will see little performance degradation and may even see improvements.

3) The only negative mental effects which have been proven are as follows: People under the influence who are exposed to new information are less likely to properly recall this information while not under the influence. The error in recall is not subtractive but additive, in other words - your imagination will add features to the recollection which were in fact not present. It does not have any negative effect in the reverse scenerio, does not cause memory loss but memory augmentation, and any effects are temporary.

4) It does increase the risk of lung cancer somewhat (not like cigs). This can be eliminated by using vaporizers. Most people will not adopt this measure simply because the cost of the marijuana is so great (being illegal) and vaporization requires more product for the same effect.

I agree with you about the intellectual side of things. I would expand this to speak of the spiritual side also. Western culture would not be the same without the contributions of its outlaw indulgers.

One problem with Marijuana compared to prescribed drugs like wellbutrin or prozac is the dosage. The user decides how much they want, as opposed to a doctor. The weed doesn't really treat a symptom, just creates a euphoric feeling. In that way it is not medicinal, it is recreational. Smoking too much a lot will do bad things for you slowly. It will affect your thinking a little and make you more lazy. Over the long term, it can burn you out. It takes a lot to do that, but it is possible, I have seen it.

See it matters not what anyone thinks, if you have the opinion there is nothing wrong with it no one will change your mind. Just like you will not change my mind that it should not be illegal.

Dude! Brauuugh! Dude!

Who need research when there is plenty of empirical evidence? Burnouts with the motivation of the average turnip; who wax eloquently about their favorite conspiracy theory.

There has been research but it isn't publicized or reported as it is much better on your health than drinking or cigarettes..both legal.

it's not the pot that's bad for you, it's all the processed food you scarf down as a result.
