I have two children myself!!! My husband and I have a terrific sexual relationship, just concerned because some women I know lost their ability to be really interested after having a tubal. I personally think It would not change but wanted to get your opinions and ask women who have experienced this themselves.

I just went through this with my wife 6 months ago. Losing her sexual drive was her biggest concern. She surveyed her friends that had it done and not one of them said that they lost their sexual drive. Personally I haven't noticed any change (considering we have 3 children, including a newborn).

From a medical standpoint there is no change to your body other than the egg does not reach the area where it can be fertilized. All the chemical reactions and ovulation that you experience is exactly the same. So, medically speaking, you'll see no change to your body.

Mentally the change can affect you in two different ways. As you mentioned it can perhaps cause you to lose that desire if you're consciously or subconsciously no longer wanting to reproduce. However, I have read that the opposite is true. Because you are no longer afraid of getting pregnant, you'll be more relaxed and be able to enjoy sex more. I tend to think that's more likely but I guess it depends on your view.

If you have never had children then the chances of them doing a tubal is slim to none. No a tubal will not lower your sex drive. As far as sex being exciting it's not based on the thought of getting pregnant however, it is based on being intimate with someone. Having sex is about the closest way to be with someone.
