Well Maybe its because we have lost our sense of community and caring.....we are so caught up in our fast paced money grubbing my way or the highway sort of society.....i mean really WHO ARE WE TO CLOSE OUR BORDERS did most of our predecessors migrate here and kick THE NATIVE AMERICANS off their land and confine them to RESERVATIONS it absurd if you ask me....we are a hypocritical country and I truly think the TWENTIETH CENTURY will see its own version of the 60's....but it is up to THE PEOPLE.....WE THE PEOPLE ......to change things we can gripe so much but it is our actions that will show the true reality of things.....keep sending troops to war we wont have a new election for awhile......how many times have our rights been revised how many clauses to our original DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE have been issued...how many of our RIGHTS HAVE WE ACTUALLY LOST BECAUSE OF THE PATRIOT ACT? are we going to sit around and B**** and moan or ARE WE GOING TO STAND UP SPEAK THE TRUTH AND FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS......sorry for rambling but i think i make a valid point

I wouldn't go and blame any single President for this "hate" of which you speak. I can see some countries becoming irate because the States are doing what they believe to be the best course of action for their interests which includes (believe it or not) the interests of her people.
Some of the "hate" could come from envy (as pointed out by Allan). Some of the "hate" could legitimately come from the States seemingly overstepping the boundaries as defined by whomever to do what she sees fit.
In the end, I don't think much of any of this will matter too much. With the cultural walls breaking down and globalization being the word of the century, we're all headed towards becoming more and more similar... of course this will be much easier after the next BIG war (as opposed to the little skirmishes that have happened after WWII).
Anyway, hate is a personal choice. Indignation and opposition to the States' course of action is a political choice. Once you get on the personal level, most people, excluding the brainwashed (and that happens in every country), don't hate another country.
Now, some of the examples you have appear erroneous and extremely biased against the States so one could assume that you may be one of the "hate"rs. Also, what some businesses do, whether or not they are based in the States, is despicable... child labor, deplorable work conditions, no coffee breaks... and it is certainly not solely a US business issue.

America,
Land of the free, home of the brave.
A place where everybody has the ability to make their own success.
Other countries hate us for several reasons.
We are the greatest country on earth.
Don't believe me?
Take a look at our nations wealth, the number of wealthy individuals in our country, the number of happy people, the small unemployment rate, the large amount of personal space that every American has.
Look at our military, the greatest and best trained military in the world, as well as the best equipped.
We have freedoms in this country that no other country has, we have freedom of speech, the right to own a gun, the right to do whatever it is that makes us as individuals happy.
We are a country that is envied by the world. This envy twists the worlds view of us based on a limited number of people. They see movies we make, they see tourists in their countries which act arrogant and rude.
They then take this limited sample of what they see and they apply it to our whole country, they think every single human being living in America is a rude, arrogant, bloodthirsty, pompous, egotistical jerk.
They see our country's vast amounts of wealth and they are jealous so they slander our country.
We are the police of the world simply because we have to look out for our best interests.
We are a country that does what must be done. We have a leader who does not care what the public thinks of him and thus is able to make the decisions that are best. (For a country cannot be run during a wartime based upon public opinion.)
As for crappy pay for natural resources, America does nto set the price we pay for the natural resources we import, we pay the price as it is set by the producing country.
America is a country which established itself.
We had help only during our initial attempt at establishing our freedom. Ever since that time we have been a country which needs help from none and asks for help from none.
During the tsunamis in India, which country sent the most aid?
The United States
During Hurricane Katrina, who helped us out?
Nobody, the United States handled the matter alone.
We are a country set apart from the world.
America is the greatest country on earth.
I am an American and I am damned proud of it.
If a man in another country wants to hate me because I am an American, then let him, for I answer to nobody but the One True God who allowed this country to be as great as it is today.
GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.

No. The media covers some hundred or some thousand demonstrators interior the line burning an American flag and blocking off get right of entry to to the yank Embassy. that's in user-friendly terms a tiny fraction of a share of the inhabitants. Many remote places media shops are anti-American. There are others that are professional-US. Our media has a tendency to p.c.. up the information of the demonstrations because of the fact they are out of the customarily occurring. Who needs to instruct calm streets? particularly in the event that they are attempting to make a case that the Bush administration isn't doing properly. Bias? the U. S. now has exceedingly stable to spectacular diplomatic family with maximum of our allies and good working relationships with the governments that's what truly counts. some noisy demonstrators ought to get the attention yet they do no longer effect the real paintings and the form that we are making across the international. international family is gradual and quiet. Heck, that's boring. It makes destructive television information. lots of the paintings is done by skill of the U. S. branch of State and could proceed on whether McCain or Obama is elected with little substitute in maximum worldwide places. Our overall remote places coverage would not substitute that lots from administration to administration. There are constantly demonstrations by skill of noisy anti-people and there constantly would be. enable it bypass.

The reasons why people hate America are many.In the case of the Al Queda and other terrorists groups it has to do with the military occupation of what is considered holy land especially in Saudi Arabia. As for being the world police the us has a very long history of butting in where there not wanted.Like Iraq obviously there were no weapons of mass destruction. There had been a blockade since the first gulf war.It was simply impossible for the Iraqis to have any. When Americans visit other countries they can be the most arrogant and obtuse tourists your likely to meet.

you honestly think we were loved before the Iraq war? come on! We've been hated for a very long time. This is nothing new. Someone else had it right when they said "they'll hate us no matter what- it doesn't matter what we do" yeah, thats right. dont be so narrow in your thinking- dont look at the last 8 years, look at ALL of them. We've always been hated and we always will. They hate us because we're a world super power, because we give freedom and a chance for everyone to make it. Because this is the land of opportunity. If you hate it so much here, if you hate what this country is doing so much (as is evidenced by the tone of your question) then get the hell out. I'm sick of people bitching about it and not DOING something about it. Move to Canada. They're socialists. you'd fit in nicely.

Yes, I've thought long and hard about it.
But it is not the citizens of the USofA that all these people hate. It is the Governmental policies, the religious leaders and the business leaders that have caused the problem you refer to.
for instance, Canada's economy has been hurt many times by the laws passed by the USofA government. US Businesses have lobbied for these laws.
Brazil has loads of oranges, but the US Government has blocked them from selling not only to the US, but also to other countries. This is currently going through the WTO. Brazil offered to sell the US lots of alcohol for use in cars. Bush bashed the proposal.
Stuff like this occur over and over again.
US religious and government leaders have gone to other countries and condemned the religious or government leaders of those countries. Often without having any real knowledge of the country, leaders or religions they are criticising.
the US government puts pressures on countries to sign agreements that have very adverse conditions for these countries. If the agreements were switched around, the US would never agree to signing. But they threaten to withdraw support, help, medicines, and business if these countries do not sign.
The US government insists on supporting democracies, which I think is probably a good thing, but when these budding democracies elect people the US government officials do not like, for what ever reason, they not just threaten to withdraw businesses and support, they actually do withdraw businesses and support.
The US government sometimes supports ruthless dictators, suppressing budding democracies because these dictators support US businesses where as the democracies would insist on it's peoples getting something out of the businesses. Who did the US Government support in the Middle East, selling him arms, weapons and technical support in exchange for Oil and Business concessions? Saddam Hussein.
On more than one occasion, the US government has supported rebels with arms, training and money against the legally elected governments of other countries. Who trained Al Qaeda, the Mujah Hadin, and Osma Bin Ladin? The US Government did. They also condemn other countries for supporting the legal governments of these countries. Now the US are fighting them.
On many occasions, the US has blocked UN resolutions that would have helped many people, because they felt that it would adversely affect US businesses, when these resolutions were simply the enactments of the same laws that currently exist in the US. So many people feel that the US doesn't want others to live as good as they do.
The US uses up to a fourth of the world's resources, and seems to want to stay on top of the world.
Businesses, which are based in the USofA, but called MultiNationals because of all their out of US holdings, refuse to obey the laws and regulations of the countries they operate in. They also refuse to obey the laws and regulations of the USofA in those countries as well as the International Laws that the US has agreed their companies will adhere to. These companies often use workers like slaves, kept in company houses, forced to purchase from company stores, the children often starving. When these countries complain, they get pressure from the US Government to leave these companies alone.
This has happened over and over again all over the world.
Lastly there is the environment. Islands and coastal lands are disappearing because the world is warming up. But the US government doesn't seem to care that people are losing their homes and livelihoods.
Because of this, and other things that has happened, I could spend days writing a reply to your question, listing the things they have done, people all over the world have come to hate the US.
But surprisingly, all these people do not hate the American People. They may hate specific individuals, like bush, cheney, rice or others, but they do not hate the American people themselves. Just their leaders.

It's natural -- human nature -- to dislike someone or a country that is strong and has a high quality of life. However, we often make foreign policy decisions that are purely in our interests, and we don't always consult or take the advice of our fellow Earthlings.
