Before you get into this too much, think about this:
How many psychics have won the lottery?
How many have told about something BEFORE it happened. Many claim to say they knew about it, but only after it happens, Jeanne Dixon was the best case of this.

Well, you don't need to be all that gifted if you are willing to work hard and be persistent in your studies. But I would suggest that you learn to spell physics before you attempt to study it.
Mathematics and logic are going to be terribly important, so perhaps you might want to get yourself a book of math and logic games and puzzles, and use them for exercise. A brain, like any other organ, needs regular exercise to function properly.

It depends entirely on what you do with your life after the learning. If your life's goal is to flip burgers at McDonald's, then it would probably be a waste of time; if you want to be an engineer at Boeing, then the knowledge would prove quite valuable.

I personally believe that there is no such thing as a psychic.
If the ability does exist it would have to be a gift, not a learned thing.
