The Victoria Falls or Mosi-oa-Tunya are situated on the Zambezi River, on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, (17°55′24.05″S, 25°51′22.32″E) and are roughly 1.7 km (1 mile) wide and 128 m (420 ft) high.

we don't understand for specific, yet Mosi oa Tunya (its authentic call) have been long found while the 1st eu (David Livingstone) set eyes on it and re-named it after an English royal who've in no way visited sub-Saharan Africa. domestically, it remains referred to as Mosi oa Tunya, meaning: the Smoke that Thunders. This call refers back to the thundering sound and the curtain of mist a number of hundred metres extreme over the waterfall - the two effective properties Dr. Livingstone observed in his diary earlier re-naming the waterfall.
