Your answer needs to be professional, articulate and said with major confidence...what you actually respond with should relate completely to the job and their organization as far as why you feel your skills mesh well with both and also why you think you would be an asset to them in that role and to the company overall. For example is it is a sales position you could say...you should hire me because I am extremely confident that I am the best candidate for this position. Based on my 4 years experience in sales and my successful track record for growing customer accounts by leaps and bounds I am confident that I am the best suited person to do this job. In addition, I am passionate about what your company offers and really feel that culturally I would be a tremendous asset not only to your sales staff but also to the overall growth and vision of your company. Obviously fine tuen that a bit depending on what job you are applying for...good luck!

it depends upon the job... and no matter what, be confident with your replies and be very polite. if its a job where you work around lots of people you can say that you have efficient communication skills, you are easy going, you have patients, and you like to help people. if its a job that requires computer skills say that you are computer proficient, name some courses that you may have taken, and any experience you have had with computers whether it is working with microsoft word or any other type of computer program/software. To get to the point, just tell what experience you have in the field and the education you have recieved... and make it a point to let the employer know you can work in all types of environments and that you are a great employee :)

Start selling yourself as to why you are the perfect fit for the job and what you'll do in that position to improve the overall situation for the immediate group or the whole organization. Next pitfall: Do you have any special skills or talents we should know about? Stay away from the wierd stuff.

First do a preparation before you go for the interview. Think what your market differentiator is, compared to others in the same skill set, level and peers in the same pond. Find out your most important aspect that will differentiate you from others. (Most important - those must match the prospective employer in terms of their requirement / position / profile / business). Quote those as reply. Hope this helps.

I am the best candidate for your position because I am going to work harder, smarter and faster than any of the other candidates that will be considering. I will get the job done and will not use the term "That's not my job."

Good luck!

Tell them that since they granted you an interview, they must have some reason. I think questions like that are retarded anyway. But then I'm not a "team player".
