I'm 24 and my wife is under the drinking age, in the state of Wisconsin is it legal for her to go drinking with me? We drink at home sometimes, but it isn't that fun.

It's not only illegal but if you buy the alcohol and drink at home you can go to jail. Supplying someone under the age of 21 is a criminal act. That being said, if she is something like 20 it's not the end of the world and would land you in jail for a month or so. If you think you won't get caught, you are proably right. But what if she drinks way too much and ends up in the hospital or something happens and she gets hurt somehow? It's your *** on the line not hers. Protect yourself. Accidents happen all the time- when you think something won't happen it usually does. I am not trying to be a hard *** or anything but for some reason 21 is a magic number that once you become of legal drinking age the state assumes you are responsible to handle it. Be careful with under age drinkers they don't get punished nearly as severely as the one who supplies it.

Every state has different spousal drinking laws. But in general the laws go something like this. She can not go out drinking with you because that is a public establishment, however she can in a private establishment (home, or privately owned land) See link to check out your state.

Quick answer: Exeptions to Alcohol laws for under 21 consumers: Alcohol furnished by parent/guardian/spouse OR Other religious, educational, medicinal

Well first thing you should do is just go to the state's website and see if you can find out if it's legal or not. Or just call and ask. Some state's if you are married, it is legal. My advice however is that you shouldn't go out, it will only cause probs. for your marriage. If you can keep it down low going with your friends and her maybe once a month, that's the only way your marriage can prob. take it. that's just some advice from someone who has been down that road.

No i do not feel this is legal at all since she is under the age and you can get in trouble for her drinking at home under the age as well i believe.

No. It's not like an R-rated movie where you just have to be with someone 18; it's not like a 15-yr-old with a learner's permit driving with an official driver. The law specifically states the age at which it is legal to drink, and if she is under it, she could get busted for underage drinking.

No it doesn't matter if she's with you married or whatever she's still under the drinking age. So until she can just use your imagination at home and you can have some fun. ;o)

Here's a suggestion...find something to do with your time that doesn't damage your body and affect your judgment.
