I am trying to find some movies from my childhood (late 80s, early 90s) that my son might like now. The only things I have been able to come up with have been Home Alone and The Never Ending Story. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

He likes karate-type movies. I just thought about "3 Ninjas" after I typed this and put that on hold at the library.

All Disney movies of course. Some other good ones are:
The Land Before Time
Babe
Muppets Treasure Island
Richie Rich
Little Rascals
Milo and Otis
Homeward Bound
Mighty Ducks
Beethoven
Indian in the Cupboard
Matilda
Andre
Casper
Batteries Not Included
Short Circuit
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The Rugrats Movie
All Dogs Go to Heaven
Secret of NIMH
An American Tale
FernGully
A Troll in Central Park
Spacejam
Balto
My sisters and I were into these movies a lot at that age, and I don't think any of them are particularly girly. I hope this helps :)

Babe (cute pig story)
Gordy (cute pig story)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the 2nd on is our favorite)
Toy Story
All Dogs Go to Heaven
Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (journey of 2 dogs and a cat)
Little Mermaid
The Lion King
Land Before Time
Free Willy
Fern Gully
Milo & Otis
Muppets Take Manhattan
Power Rangers (the first one with Ivan Ooze...I still enjoy watching that one,but not then 2nd one...it was horrid!)

My daughter likes E.T. alot. She's four. I also bought the Pee-Wee's Playhouse entire tv series and Christmas Special for her and she's addicted to that as a TV show. It's about the most creative, fun, and educational tv show I think I've ever watched. My kid's are also really into Toy Story, but that was early to mid 90's so I'm not sure if that is going back far enough for you.
How about Goonies?
