Went to D.R. last year and loved it. You may want to bring vitamin B tablets to take to keep bugs off you. Also you might consider going to your doctor to prescirbe you medicine so you don't get malaria. Keep a open mind going through local villages, there is tons of poverty but get to know their culture. In Punta Cana you can buy a acre of beachfront property for 65 US dollars, but you would have to be a citizen from the D.R. If you can bring old stuffed animals, the local kids love em, just don't hand them out in groups they will start to fight over them and it'll bring you tears to see that. Bring lots of sunblock because you will regret getting burned your first couple of days. You definitely get more bang for your buck outside the resorts, but keep in mind the black market doesn't pay taxes, so it doesn't help the local economy. Also, the casinos do not help with economy. If you should go to the ocean be careful on the Atlantic side, the waves come and don't stop you can get fatigued quickly. I recommend tanning on the beach and swimming in the pool area. Hope this helps!

U might want to ask the agency where u have bought your tickets for the rules and regulations book to find out what rules r different from what your use to.God some countries if your caught spitting you could get in trouble so it's worth finding out as well as don't drink there water or get ice in your drinks without asking if it's bottled water.Get your shots before going for hepatitis they have them now to prevent u from getting it as well as other shots that can help u.I wouldn't bring expensive jewellery either cuz I got stuff stolen out of my luggage 2 times including jewellery I bought there n called the front desk n they had the maid bring it back. She claimed she accidentally threw it out.Ya right it was in it's jewellery box still.Well have fun n make sure u have everything covered including insurance for if u lose your wallet etc.oh ya if u where to get hurt god forbid but if u did that u can get a helicopter or any assistance there.I think u can buy your own needle kit for there doctors to use or hospital if u where to get sick there. Some places don't clean there stuff.Have fun bye 4 now

You'll get almost double the exchange rate on the black market. Coca cola costs more than rum...makes for pretty heavy cuba libres.

I love Dominicans!!! Everyone is super nice and you'll have a great time. The music is not shitty and everything is really cheap. I've never seen such good dancers either.

that the peurto ricans and dominicans in the united states give them a bad name and when u actually go there its a whole new side youve never seen. only in the u.s are they loud obnoxious wanting every one in the world to hear their sh*tty music turned up so the whole neighborhood can hear, rude, and just overall @ssholes, but when u actually are there its like who are these people they dont act like this at home.
