I change my computer and i have to transfer my files from my old pc to this new laptop. My elder one has a Wireless MAXg PCI Adapter and USB doesn't work. How can i connect these two PCs?

You can use a router to connect them via a home network, however, the easiest solution for just transferring files "one time only" would be to buy a DVD burner from an outlet with a good return policy, install it on the old PC (if it is a desktop), copy the files & then copy them to the laptop with the DVD you created.

Then just return the burner for a refund.

If the older unit is a notebook you may want to purchase an external enclosure for the hard drive on the old laptop See this link for details :

This will easily allow you to connet the old hard drive to the new unit & afterwards you are left with a useful external drive for back purposes.

Get yourself a ten dollar crossover cable, the cable that most computers connect to the internet through, and hook them up. It shouldn't be that difficult and you should have no problems sharing or transferring the files.

u can buy a data bus that is called ..usb to ide bus....
with the help f that u can connect ur hard disk of PC with usb of laptop and tranfer the data easily..... that cable will hardly cost u
200 rs as per indian currency... fr that u nid not use the usb of ur PC ....just take out the hard disk of ur PC and connect the IDE side to ur hard disk and then usb end to ur laptop and the power cable in hard disk n ur hard disk of PC will b shown on ur laptop

are both of these computers hooked up to some kind of router? if so then they will be on the same network so you can transfer files that way.

connect them via ethernet port. just get an ethernet cable and connect them. This is simplest and cheapeat way to transfer data.
