Some form of universal health care.

Opponents to this point out problems in other systems, but at least they have SOMETHING!

The United States is the only industrialized nation that does not guarantee access to health care as a right of citizenship.

28 industrialized nations have single payer universal health care systems, while 1 (Germany) has a multipayer universal health care system like President Clinton proposed for the United States.

Federal studies by the Congressional Budget Office and the General Accounting office show that single payer universal health care would save 100 to 200 Billion dollars per year despite covering all the uninsured and increasing health care benefits.

There would be free choice of health care providers under a single payer universal health care system, unlike our current managed care system in which people are forced to see providers on the insurer’s panel to obtain medical benefits

Repeated national and state polls have shown that between 60 and 75% of Americans would like a universal health care system (see The Harris Poll #78, October 20, 2005)

I would like to see higher education become more affordable. I would like to see equal treatment for all people. Where the best person for the job actually gets it, instead of people being given preferential treatment because of gender or race. I would like to see charity at home before we help out all the other countries. Why is there homeless people in the United States? We need to take care of our own before we try to take care of everyone else. I would like to see school age children be treated equally too. The ones that come from poor families are left out, unless they are sports oriented, etc. I would like to go back to the time when an employee was actually rewarded for doing a good job, and evaluations really reflected what kind of work you do.

I would broker a deal with the Chinese government that we would continue to support and encourage their bounding economy for their full cooperation in spreading Democracy in Iraq and the Middle East.
I would extend an olive branch they are about to become the big kids on the block.

I would broker a deal that would solidify our economies as being extremely dependent on one another thus forcing future leaders of our 2 nations to be among the tightest steadfast Allys the world has ever known.

World peace would be the largest commodity on the planet therefore securing a prosperous economic future for the entire world thus raising living standards throughout.

The Chinese must eventually do away with their Communist ideology if there economy is too succeed for a long period of time.

History proves this and those whom do not learn from it are condemned to repeat it.

A country not run on corruption and greed. I want my children to feel safe and their schools to be able to teach them and give them the best education in the world. I would get rid of financial influence that drives politics and take away the pension program used by the politicians. Putting them on the same system we are on insures they will take an interest in fixing it. Politicians would not be able to collect millions in campaign funds from special interest and all candidates would have an equal campaign fund provided via taxes, nothing above that would be spent. The reason for this would be to allow people other than the elite to gain office. The people who gain office now do not have to send their kids to public school our worry about college money so they are out of touch with the majorities life style.

I would personally want to change employment situations in America, the big Corporations getting away with paying their employees with low pay wages. It has deteriorated the value of family, by the need for head of households to hold more then one job to survive free of financial stress. Thus, not having the much needed quality time with your wife and children, a factor in the increase rate for divorces in America. As the minimum wage increase gets approved by the Democrats, it is still laughable, because it won't be enough with the rising cost of living to live appropriately, and we still will continue to squeeze the dollar bill until you hear a president fart.

I'd like to see us united again. I'd like to see an end to people being loyal to thier political party and nixing good ideas just to play party politics. This occurs on both sides. There is too much position and obstructing going on by political parties.

I don't know...maybe get rid of political parties and just choose the best candidate for a job based on their positions and plans?

It seems like political parties and their enforced positions are holding America back.

I guess if you remove the political party from the picture, people are still going to label people as liberal or conservative anyway and then rally around those points.

I dream for a childhood for my son like I had. Running around town without a care in the world.

Our society has made the innocence of children a disposable commodity.

If I could change the way our society views laws, I would. Every bit of legislation would be in "the best interest of children."

If you view abortion and gay marriage through the eyes of a child, you would never legalize either. And the same goes with illegal immigration.

total change for health care, where everyone had a chance for treatment whether they can pay or not. Takeing everyone in Washington out and start over makeing lobbiest outlawed. Holding anyone reporting liable for twisting the truth and imprissoned for lying to get their point across. Stop sending illegals back, but house them like slaves when they come here,

My wish would be to put the left wing liberals back into the background where they belong. they have done nothing to enhance this country neither monetarily or morally since they have come to the forefront. I would take the vote back to the age of 21. But the communist said they would destroy us from within and this is exactly what they are doing.

My best wish at this time would be for people to realise the importance of integrity, the need for politeness and the cry for discipline. It is important for each of us to act the way the want the world to be!
